These buildings, and the people behind them, are part of the story and legacy of the Ryan Foundation.

  • Belltower - Oudtshoorn Cathedral

    The beautiful bells had survived the long trip from Europe, but they needed a perch from which to sing. The Ryan Foundation was happy to oblige.

  • The Ryan Centre for Faith, Science, and the Arts at St Dominic’s Priory School

    The Church has always held that Faith and Reason belong together, and in this state of the art facility, they even share a roof. The venue brings people together from St Dominic’s and surrounding schools for education, arts and religious & community gatherings.

  • Stained Glass Windows at Holy Trinity Braamfontein

    The church is a masterclass in Romanesque Revival architecture, and the builder was the Ryan’s uncle - George Becket. When the gorgeous stained glass windows needed refurbishing, the Ryan Foundation was proud to assist.

  • Aquatic Centre at De La Salle Holy Cross College

    Gavan Ryan was among the first matriculants of De La Salle College, where the Foundation was the main donor for the aquatic centre. In former days, the students would walk a block or two to the Linden Public Swimming Pool.
